FLAG FOOTBALL

Open to boys & girls ages 5 & 6 (as of July 31st).  This is a great opportunity for our "Pups" to learn the game. 

The season will run in concurrence with the Tackle Football Season. 

Participants will have 2 practices a week and 1 game per week.   

The empasis will be on phyiscal activity, team building, introduction to football skills and FUN!

 

TACKLE FOOTBALL

As Part of the  the Old Colony Youth Football League we will be fielding 3 teams:

Midgets: Ages 12 to 14   (15 if their birthday is BEFORE November 15th - Can not be in 9th Grade)

                 Max Weight:  170 Pounds

                 *If a player weighs 180 pound or below , they can be on the roster until they make weight for that week*

Pee Wee:  Ages 10 to 11  (12 if their Birthday is after July 1st) 

                   Max Weight: 135 Pounds

                     *If a player weighs 145 pounds or below , they can be on the roster until they make weight for that week*

Mites:       Ages 7 to 9  (10 if their Birthday is after July 1st)                

                   Max Weight: 110 Pounds

                     *If a player weighs 120 pounds or below , they can be on the roster until they make weight for that week*

 

** Players can play above their Age Group if they are above season ending Weight or Max Weight**

 

 

PRACTICES & GAMES:

PRACTICES will be held at the Bulldogs Youth Football Fields beginning the second week of August.

August practices - 4 nights a week         September practices - 3 nights a week (no Monday practices)

GAMES will be held on Saturdays & Sundays beginning the weekend after Labor Day (schedule TBD)

Coaches & Team Moms are available to assist in finding rides for players as needed

 

MISSED PRACTICES:  We understand that families have other commitments which may cause players to miss practice. However, each player must make a number of hours before they can participate in contact drills , scrimmages and games.  Make sure you discuss this with your HEAD COACH.   We will work with each player individually to insure they are prepared.  

EQUIPMENT:

We provide most required equipment including; 

helmets, shoulder pads, lower pads, practice pants and game uniforms at no additional cost. 

All of our equipment meets National Safety Certifications.  

Participants will need to provide their own mouth guard & cleats

 

COACHING:

Football Coaches are trained by USA Football and are HEAD'S UP CERTIFIED.

Participants will be taught the most current safe tackling and blocking techniques, reducing their exposure to injury. 

 

CHEER

"LET'S GO BULLDOGS, LET'S GO!!"

Come bring your Spirit!

The Bulldogs offer a fun cheer program to all girls and boys ages 5-14.  

This is a developmental program open to all skill levels.  

Team work and spirit emphasized! 

 Learn: Basic Tumbling Skills, Safe Stunting Formations & Simple Cheer & Dance Routines.

Make Friends, Build Self-Confidence & most importantly HAVE FUN! 

 

 

PRACTICE & GAMES:

UNIFORMS:

Each cheer participant will borrow a uniform from our cheer program. The full uniform must be returned to the cheer program with in 1 week of the conculsion of the season, cleaned, and undamaged, or the participant will be held responsible for full cost of the replacement uniform or charged a cleaning fee. 

Warm-Ups are optional.

In addition to the uniform participants will need to provide their own all white athletic sneakers, white turtleneck, navy bike shorts, and all white ankle socks or Bulldog socks.
